Lock-down blues

Thank you!

So, the lock-down blues. Don’t let it get you down. We hope it isn’t gripping too many people. Firstly, a massive thank you to all the key workers who aren’t fortunate enough to be sitting at home on full pay right now. Instead they’re grafting, and risking their lives under intense pressure, to staff our hospitals, pharmacies, supermarkets and also our smaller food & essential product shops. A big thank you to the Neath Market traders who’re adapting and serving our community. Thanks to the taxi drivers who’re helping to get NHS staff to work. A big thank you to all the people who’re right now looking after elderly neighbors. It make you proud to be British, and definitely proud to be Welsh!

Online lessons

Meanwhile at Neath Music Academy, it’s a time when we’re all getting around to fixing things, reading things, learning things and thinking about things that we’ve put off for years! We’ve successfully got our lessons online using Zoom. Most students are happy to learn this way at least in the short term. We can’t thank you folks enough for being so accommodating – we really want to still have a business once this is all over. If you’ve not moved over to online lessons yet, please give it a try. If you’re not sure how all this works then we have a guide here, and you can get in touch at any time.

The upside to being stuck at home is that now’s a great time to connect with your instrument, your family, your garden…but especially your instrument!

The Music Shop

The Music Shop, owned by our ace pal Leyton Thomas is closed for the time being. But Leyton’s still servicing musical needs online so if if you need strings, accessories, or supplies then make contact. In fact, if you fancy learning a new instrument then Leyton will get it to you. Why not take advantage of a free online lesson at Neath Music Academy? It’ll get you started. Leyton’s business is on Facebook, here’s his email. You can also contact him on the business phone number – 07533 305830.

Don’t get the lock-down blues. Stay safe everyone. Stay at home, protect the NHS, and save lives..,and we’ll see you on the other side!
